2028 Biggs Family Residency in Classics
The 2028 Biggs Family Resident in Classics will be Professor Michael Cosmopoulos, the Hellenic Government-Karakas Foundation Chair of Greek Studies and Professor of Archaeology at the University of Missouri - St. Louis. Professor Cosmopoulos is a renowned scholar of Ancient Greek archaeology and history. He has led excavations in Iklaina, Eleusis, and Oropos and has published widely on Archaic Greece, most recently in The World of Homer. Archaeology, Social Memory, and the Emergence of Greek Epic Poetry (Cambridge University Press, 2025).
