Tim Moore Visits Clayton High School Latin Class

On April 29, Tim Moore, John and Penelope Biggs Distinguished Professor of Classics and Chair of the John and Penelope Biggs Department of Classics, visited Clayton High School to speak with students in Matthew Crutchfield’s Latin class about Roman theater.

In his visit, Prof. Moore offered students an engaging introduction to how Roman drama was staged and experienced, drawing on material from both ancient sources and modern scholarship. The talk provided an opportunity for students to connect their classroom learning with broader questions about performance, audience, and cultural context in the ancient world.

We’re delighted to see our faculty sharing their expertise beyond WashU and strengthening connections with local schools and Latin programs in the region.
