Nicola Aravecchia, Associate Professor of Classics and of Art History & Archaeology, recently presented a paper at the 13th International Congress of Coptic Studies in Göttingen, Germany. Together with Stefania Alfarano (Institute for the Study of the Ancient World, NYU), he delivered a presentation titled “Living among the Dead: Burials and Sacred Space at Amheida (Dakhla Oasis).” The paper highlighted ongoing research at the archaeological site of Amheida in Egypt’s Dakhla Oasis and contributed to international conversations on Coptic studies and Late Antique archaeology.
