Susan Rotroff, the Jarvis Thurston and Mona Van Duyn Professor Emerita in the Humanities at Washington University in St. Louis, has been honored through the establishment of the Susan I. Rotroff Research Fellowship for the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. Rotroff, Professor in the Department of Classics at WashU from 1995-2015, is a leading expert on Athenian pottery, and Mark Lawall, Professor of Classics at the University of Manitoba, provided the generous gift to establish this fellowship in honor of her and her accomplishments. The fellowship will provide stipends to graduate students and postdoctoral scholars in North America, who are preparing primary publications of finds from excavations in Greece.
