Alessia recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Greek & Latin and Italian Studies. She worked at the Center for Tebtunis Papyri as an undergraduate apprentice. She wrote an undergraduate honors thesis on Horace’s Odes 1.37, analyzing the characterization of Cleopatra and the representation of her death. Her main research interests are Latin Augustan poetry and post-Augustan prose, along with Greek papyrology of the 1st and 2nd century CE. She is passionate about translation as an art form and spoken Latin and Greek in the classroom.
