At the start of June, an international team of scholars gathered for an intensive collaborative worksprint to advance the third volume of Washington University Papyri. The group made significant progress, bringing the contents of the volume into a preliminary draft form.
The editorial team includes Will Sieving (MA 2026), Alexander Free, Todd Hickey (University of California, Berkeley), and Roger Bagnall, Honorary Professor of Classics at Washington University in St. Louis. They are joined by contributing authors from the 2018 Summer Institute in Papyrology at WashU, as well as Giuseppina Azzarello (University of Udine).
Working intensively over several days, the team collaborated to move the project forward. With continued progress, they aim to complete a full manuscript for external readers by the end of the calendar year.
